Position Description:

The Apprentice HR Assistant will support the HR/Payroll department in providing an efficient and streamlined service to the business with regard to all HR/Payroll-related administrative tasks. This role has a wide remit which includes input to all HR/Payroll admin and is an important support role to the business.

 

The Person:

The job holder must be efficient, self-motivated, organised, and a good communicator with excellent IT skills.

 

Qualifications And Experience:

· A minimum of 5 GSCE grades A* – C/ 9-4 or equivalent qualifications including mathematics and English.

 

Responsibilities to include:

· Assist with recruitment administration

· Process new starters/leavers details

· Create induction packs,

· Collect reference requests

· Create and maintain personnel records, ensuring archiving of leavers and cleansing of information held is in line with the Data Protection act

· Maintain attendance records including holiday, absences, lateness, and report discrepancies to HR Manager

· Maintain training records (Skill station)

· Follow all HR procedures/policies

· Support the HR Manager with additional HR ad hoc administration duties

· Maintain management and employee confidence.

 

 

Position: Apprenticeship 18 – 24 Months

Hours of work: Monday- Thursday 9.00am -17.00pm, Friday 8.00am – 2.00pm

 

 

Salary: NMW for age + £1.00

Holidays: Full time – 25 days per year (Holiday year Jan – Dec) + 8 Bank holidays, Pro rata for part time.

Life Insurance: 3 times basic salary whilst in employment

Pension Scheme: Automatic enrolment 5% Employee, 3% Employer. After 1 year in April – Age related up to max 6.5%
