Role Summary:

You will support the Marketing Manager to implement the required marketing and communications activities, in line with the marketing plan and ensure that different departments within the business are fully supported with the correct materials.

The Person:

The job holder must be efficient, self-motivated, organised, and a good communicator with excellent IT skills. The job holder must also be discrete and maintain strict confidentiality. The ability to prioritise, remain calm under pressure and remain focused will be required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Marketing degree or equivalent experience preferable.
  • Minimum of two years working in a junior marketing role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • An awareness of B2B marketing would be desirable.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Branding – Ensure that brand guidelines are adhered to fully across all company departments.
  • Websites– Regular updates in our WordPress sites as well as updating documents and basic SEO optimisation where required. Working closely with agencies and being the initial point of contact. Updating our new Shopify ecommerce platform and facilitating any relevant customer enquiries to ensure a timely response.
  • Content – Ensuring that a comprehensive content calendar is kept up to date as well as keeping an inventory of existing marketing content. Varied content types will be required for online and offline channels including:
  • Social media –The marketing & communications coordinator will be responsible for creating, posting and tracking content on our primary channel, LinkedIn, and should have excellent attention to detail as well as the ability to engage with followers appropriately.
  • Printed literature – Creating product literature and updating our existing portfolio of literature as needed.
  • Email – Create and update email lists. Create, track and report on email marketing campaigns, targeting a variety of different industry sectors.
  • Supporting documents – ensuring that our portfolio of technical documents are kept up to date.
  • Sales support – provide marketing support for the sales team as needed and be their initial point of contact.
  • SEO – ensure digital content is optimised for SEO and in line with the keywords that we are targeting.
  • PR – Research key publications and be the initial point of contact for media enquiries where required.
  • Exhibitions – Working together with the marketing manager to plan and execute key trade shows.
  • Internal communications – working with the marketing manager and colleagues from different departments to improve internal communications through the execution of a structured campaign of activities.

Position: Permanent with an immediate start

Hours of work: Full time 35 hours per week

Mon- Thu 9.00am -17.00pm, Fri 8:00am – 14:00pm

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.

Holidays: Full time – 25 days per year (Holiday year Jan – Dec) + 8 Bank holidays, Pro rata for part time.

Life Insurance: 3 times basic salary whilst in employment

Pension Scheme: Automatic enrolment 5% Employee, 3% Employer. After 1 year in April – Age related up to max 6.5%
