GRP Flowtread

Lionweld Kennedy Flowtread is pultruded open mesh GRP grating that can achieve increased spans with higher load capacities.

Flowtread has a glass to resin ratio of 65:35 providing increased stiffness. It is ideal for walkways, platforms, and mezzanine decks.

The product is available in various depths and open areas, each providing individual loading and ventilation characteristics.

The isophthalic polyester grating panels are high-strength, non-conductive, lightweight and corrosion resistant. Flowgrate also contains state-of-the-art ultraviolet inhibitors to mitigate solar degradation when installed outside, further improving the lifespan of the product. Flowtread grating panels are up to 50% lighter than steel grating panels and are finished with a hard-wearing, anti-slip gritted surface – compliant to National and Internationally recognised standards – to ensure enhanced slip resistance.

Flowtread is also available in Phenolic with its excellent Fire Retardant Properties that meet BS476 Part 7 Class 0 and section 12 of London underground standards for low smoke and low toxicity use in tunnels, as well as being USCG and DNV L2 approved.


Flowtread is available in either 25mm deep or 38mm deep panels.

Panel sizes are a standard 1000mm x 6000mm.


Flowtread is available in Light Grey RAL 7040 or Yellow RAL 1003.
